Аннотация: The nitration of 5,7-dimethyl-2-polyhaloalkylchromones affords either 5,7-dimethyl-6-nitro- or 5,7-dimethyl-6,8-dinitro-2-polyhaloalkylchromones, depending on the reaction conditions. Signals in the 1H and 13C NMR spectra of the sterically hindered chromones were completely assigned using the 2D NOESY, HETCOR, and COLOC spectra. The influence of nonplanar nitro groups on chemical shifts of carbon atoms was studied. Some spectral peculiarities of the peri-methyl group were revealed. The 1H-1H and 13C-1H spin-spin coupling constants, including the extreme six-bond long-range coupling between the protons of the Me(5) group and H(8), were determined

Аннотация: A new synthetic approach to condensed 1,2,4-triazines based on using the tandem AN-SNipso and SNH-SNipso reactions has been developed. 5-Methoxy-3-penyl-l,2,4 1,2,4-triazine and its N1-methyl quaternary salt were found to react with C,N-, C,O- and N,N?-bifunctional nucleophiles (m-phenylenediamine, resorcinol, semicarbazide and ureas) into triazacarbazoles, benzofuro[2,3-e][1,2,4]-triazines, and 6-azapurine derivatives. In all cases nucleophiles attack first the unsubstituted C-6 carbon of the triazine ring, while the final stage is replacement of the methoxy group affording cyclization products.

Аннотация: The addition of the oxirane derivatives to CO2 was found to occur without Lewis acid involvement but requires the presence of the Lewis base. The reaction was carried out at atmospheric pressure by CO2 bubbling through the starting ether in the presence of a source of halide anion or trichloroacetate anion, which provides the formation of ethylenecarbonate derivatives in preparative amounts. The reactivity of halide anions in the addition of the studied oxirane derivatives to CO2 decreases in the order I− > Br− > Cl− > F− >> Cl3CCOO−. The quantum chemical calculations of the reaction of CO2 with epichlorohydrin show that the reaction consists of consecutive processes of nucleophilic addition and nucleophilic ipso-substitution, which explains the catalytic effect of the Lewis bases and the order of their activity.

Аннотация: Mesoporous carbon of lamellar morphology was synthesized by the thermal decomposition of zinc glycerolate in an inert atmosphere followed by the removal of zinc oxide from the ZnO/C composite. The obtained material was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and low-temperature adsorption of nitrogen. Mesoporous carbon is remarkable for a high adsorption rate of methylene blue dye from aqueous solutions with the maximum adsorption capacity toward the dye equal to 1680 mg g−1.

Аннотация: The critical temperatures and pressures of phthalates with the straight side alkyl chains C6H4-1,2-[COO(CH2) nH]2 (n is from 1 to 11) as well as bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate have been measured. No literature data are available for the critical properties of phthalates. Since phthalates decompose at temperatures well below their critical temperatures, the method of pulse heating of a wire probe immersed into the liquid under study has been used. Аннотация: A convenient method for one-step coupling of benzoannelated crown ethers with 1,2,4-triazinones based on the reaction of nucleophilic addition to unsubstituted carbon atom of the triazine ring has been worked out. It has been shown that the reaction of 3-substituted 1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-ones (1) with benzocrown ethers (benzo-12-crown-4, benzo-15-crown-5, benzo-18-crown-6) in the presence of acetic or trifluoroacetic anhydride is accompanied by acylation of triazine ring and results in formation of 3-(1-acyl-5-oxo-1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazin-6-yl)benzocrown ethers (7-12). The latters were converted to 3-(5-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-6-yl)benzocrown ethers (18-20) using two alternative routes: the elimination of acetic or trifluoroacetaldehyde or the deacylation followed by the oxidation of the 1,4,5,6-tetrahydro derivatives (13-15).

Аннотация: According to the 1H, 13C, and 19F NMR data, fluoroalkyl-containing 1,2,3-trione 2-arylhydrazones in CDCl3 exist exclusively, while in (CD3)2CO preferentially, as isomers in which the acyl or aroyl group is involved in intramolecular hydrogen bond. The isomer structure was assigned on the basis of the chemical shifts of the carbonyl carbon atoms and fluorine atoms and carbon-fluorine spin-spin coupling constants J C-F. Аннотация: 1H- and 13C-NMR spectra of the ?-adducts formed between 6-phenyl-1,2,4-triazine 4-oxide (1a), 3-ethyl-6-phenyl-1,2,4-triazine 4-oxide (1b) and liquid ammonia, methylamine or dimethylamine are described, together with 1H NMR spectra of 3-chloro-6-phenyl-1,2,4-triazine (7) in liquid ammonia. The results of the NMR study have shown that the carbon C-5 in 1a-b and 7 is the preferred site for nucleophilic attack by liquid ammonia and alkylamines at low temperatures (from -75° to -20°C). The ?-adduct (5e) formed between 1a and dimethylamine at -75°C on heating to -20°C irreversibly converts to open-chain product (3a), via intermediary C-3 ?-adduct (6). The amination of 7 into 3-amino-6-phenyl-1,2,4-triazine (10) occurs via SN(AE) mechanism involving the isomerisation of the C-5 ?-adduct (8) into the C-3 ?-adduct (9) as confirmed by a 15N study with labeled liquid ammonia.

Аннотация: Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are used in applications ranging from electrical engineering to medical device manufacturing. It is well known that the addition of nanotubes can influence the mechanical properties of various industrial materials, including plastics. Electrospinning is a popular method for fabricating nanomaterials, widely suggested for polymer scaffold manufacturing. In this study, we aimed to describe the influence of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) suspensions on polymeric poured films and electrospun scaffolds and to investigate their structural and mechanical properties obtained from various compositions. To obtain films and electrospun scaffolds of 8 mm diameter, we used poly-ε-caprolactone (PCL) and poly(cyclohexene carbonate) (PCHC) solutions containing several mass fractions of SWCNT. The samples were characterized using tensile tests, atomic force and scanning electronic microscopy (AFM and SEM). All the studied SWCNT concentrations were shown to decrease the extensibility and strength of electrospun scaffolds, so SWCNT use was considered unsuitable for this technique. The 0.01% mass fraction of SWCNT in PCL films increased the polymer strength, while fractions of 0.03% and more significantly decreased the polymer strength and extensibility compared to the undoped polymer. The PHCH polymeric films showed a similar behavior with an extremum at 0.02% concentration for strength at break.

Аннотация: Isomerization of monohydroperfluoro-1-alkenes HC(CF2)nCF=CF2 (n = 2 to 8) catalyzed by Lewis bases or acids (CsF, KHF2, and SbF5) under conditions of thermodynamic control affords equilibrium mixtures of all of the possible isomers resulting from migration of the double bond along the carbon chain. Under conditions of kinetic control, isomerization through the action of SbF5 gives -H-perfluoro-2-alkenes. Аннотация: The formation of the giant Muruntau gold-quartz deposit and ore field (western Uzbekistan) is defined as a prolonged (70 Ma) multiphase geological process related to shear tension and ductile deformations of rocks. The history of the ore field development is very complicated, and there is still much to be learned about it. We studied the conditions, zonation, and deformations of the metasomatism-related ore formation, as well as the behavior of carbonaceous matter (CM) in this process. Lower Paleozoic sheared carbonaceous host rocks are regionally metamorphosed in the muscovite-chlorite subfacies. This process, which evolved over a long time (C3-P1), started with the increase in temperature (the progressive megastage) and continued during its decrease when the bulk of gold was deposited. The beginning of the process was associated with ductile deformations that showed up in folding and shearing of rocks. At that time, pre-ore magnesium-potassium metasomatism took place in the temperature interval of 400-600°C. During the regressive megastage, calcium metasomatism occurred and skarn assemblages (actinolite, clinozoisite, diopside, and garnet) were deposited at T = 400-520°C. Later, ductile deformations were replaced by brittle deformations, and quartz-ore veinlets and lenses formed together with locally developed vein-related orthoclase-chlorite, albite-carbonate, sericite-tourmaline, and quartz-adular metasomatites. The metasomatic zonation showed up at early stages and was oriented along the direction of fluid filtration. The outer (front) zone is represented by a dome of biotitized rocks. Banded biotite-feldspar-quartz metasomatites occur within them. Their back (inner) zones are composed of the biotite-orthoclase-quartz assemblage. Younger skarn assemblages make up series of thin bands within biotite-feldspar-quartz metasomatites. Ore veinlets are enclosed within this metasomatic halo. CM took an active part in the hydrothermal process: it was output from metasomatic zones and redeposited along their outer boundary. CM interacted with the hydrothermal solution and maintained the reducing medium at the level of a QFM buffer. Temperatures established by the carbon isotope thermometer (CM + carbonate) are similar to values of mineral geothermometers (250-350°C during ore deposition). The distinctive features of metasomatism in the Muruntau ore field, hosted by carbonaceous sequences and shear zones, are the absence of vein-related zonation and a poor vertical zonation (a low T gradient), suppressed acid metasomatism, and the lack of an obvious relationship between ore mineralization and a particular magmatism.????

As shown by differential thermal analysis, the fluorinated organic derivatives exhibit catalytic activity in curing of epoxy resins. Аннотация: Synthesis and study of the physicochemical properties of silsesquioxanes modified with 3-aminopropyl, 2-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyl, and dithiooxamide groups was carried out. The obtained sorbents were characterized by thermal stability, porosity, and a high degree of functionalization; the concentration of groups grafted to the particle surface reached 2.80 mmol g−1. Modified silsesquioxanes were used as an electroactive substance for the development of indicator carbon paste electrodes (CPEs). When using a CPE with a 5% dithiooxamidated silsesquioxane content, the conditions selected for potentiometric titration of aqueous solutions containing silverI were pH 3–4, the titrant was potassium iodide. The designed sensor was successfully tested by analyzing a standard sample and a drug for silver ion content.
