Аннотация: Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are used in applications ranging from electrical engineering to medical device manufacturing. It is well known that the addition of nanotubes can influence the mechanical properties of various industrial materials, including plastics. Electrospinning is a popular method for fabricating nanomaterials, widely suggested for polymer scaffold manufacturing. In this study, we aimed to describe the influence of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) suspensions on polymeric poured films and electrospun scaffolds and to investigate their structural and mechanical properties obtained from various compositions. To obtain films and electrospun scaffolds of 8 mm diameter, we used poly-ε-caprolactone (PCL) and poly(cyclohexene carbonate) (PCHC) solutions containing several mass fractions of SWCNT. The samples were characterized using tensile tests, atomic force and scanning electronic microscopy (AFM and SEM). All the studied SWCNT concentrations were shown to decrease the extensibility and strength of electrospun scaffolds, so SWCNT use was considered unsuitable for this technique. The 0.01% mass fraction of SWCNT in PCL films increased the polymer strength, while fractions of 0.03% and more significantly decreased the polymer strength and extensibility compared to the undoped polymer. The PHCH polymeric films showed a similar behavior with an extremum at 0.02% concentration for strength at break.

Аннотация: In this work a comparative study of Screen-Printed Carbon Electrodes (SPCE) – bare and modified by drop casting with carbonaceous nanomaterials (CNMs) as Multi Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT), Carbon Black and Functionalized Carbon Black for voltammetric determination of 5-methyl-6-nitro-7-oxo-4,7-dihydro-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidinide l-arginine monohydrate (Triazid) as a potential drug with a broad spectrum of antiviral activity is reported. Bare SPCE and CNMs modified SPCE (SPCE/CNMs) have been characterized morphologically by SEM and electrochemically by cyclic voltammetry/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy with [Fe(CN)6]4−/3− as redox probe. Significant improvement of electrochemical performances is achieved with SPCE/CNMs compared with the bare SPCE. Among SPCE/CNMs studied SPCE modified with MWCNT (SPCE/CNT) is characterized by the best combination of electrochemical properties and electroanalytical performance towards TD. The linear dynamic range is 25–200 mg L−1 (R2=0.9975) with the limit of detection – 2.8 mg L−1 Triazid using SPCE/CNT and Square-Wave Voltammetry technique. The developed sensor was successfully used for Triazid determination in the Pharmaceutical Substance “TRIAZID”. The results achieved with SPCE/CNMs after chemical binding of dissolved oxygen in 0.04 M Britton-Robinson buffer+0.04 M Na2SO3 (pH 7.2±0.2) are very useful for further development of cost-effective and time-consuming pharmaceutical routine assay.

Аннотация: In this work, a versatile synthetic protocol for obtaining of new promising carbon materials based on the C–C coupling of graphenide lithium species with azaaromatic compounds (1,10-phenanthroline, phenyl-1,2,5-oxadiazolo[3,4-b]pyrazine) has been suggested. It was shown that more electrophilic oxadiazolopyrazine gave the product with high degree of graphene functionalization and demonstrated non-isomorphic properties. At the same time, phenanthrolinyl graphene has less functionalization degree due to a lower electrophilicity of azine. However, the large size of pores between organic residues in phenanthrolinyl graphene allows adsorbing almost 10% of Eu3+. The mesurment of adsorption isotherm showed an extremely high affinity of phenanthrolinylgraphene to Eu (III) ions in netural or alkaline conditions, and the obtained hybrid material could work at least 5 sorption/desorption cycles. The structures of azine-graphene dyads were verified by complex of modern physicochemical analyses methods (the Raman spectroscopy, FTIR, XPS, SEM, EDS and TGA analyses).

Аннотация: Magnetic iron nanoparticles (MNPs) encapsulated in a carbon shells and containing sulfo groups on the surface (Fe@C-SO3H) were synthesized. The aggregative stability of aqueous suspensions of the Fe@C-SO3H nanoparticles was studied in solutions of bovine serum albumin and calcium chloride and in phosphate-buffered saline, which simulate blood plasma. It is shown that the Fe@C-SO3H particles practically do not aggregate in the phosphate buffer saline for a long time (several days). On the contrary, MNPs encapsulated in a protein shells using ultrasonic treatment form aggregates up to 110–120 nm in size under these conditions. Suspensions of the Fe@C-SO3H particles are stable in aqueous solutions of calcium chloride in the range of the solid phase concentration between 0.05 and 0.10 g L−1. The results obtained indicate the possibility of using the functionalized Fe@C-SO3H nanoparticles in vitro experiments in biological media.

Аннотация: This article presents the results of a study of electrochemical transformations in aqueous and aprotic media of 5-methyl-6-nitro-7-oxo-4,7-dihydro-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidinide l-arginine monohydrate (1a, Triazid) obtained by electrochemical methods and ESR spectroscopy. The effect of pH on the current and the reduction potential of 1a in an aqueous Britton–Robinson buffer solution was studied. It was found that 1a is irreversibly reduced in aqueous acidic media on a glassy carbon electrode in one stage with the participation of six electrons and the formation of 5-methyl-6-amino-7-oxo-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin. The electroreduction of 1a in DMF on a background of tetrabutylammonium salts proceeds in two stages, controlled by the kinetics of second-order reactions. In the first stage, the reduction of 1a is accompanied by protonation by the initial compound of the basic intermediate products formed in the electrode reaction (self-protonation mechanism). The second quasi-reversible stage of the electroreduction 1a corresponds to the formation of a dianion radical upon the reduction of the heterocyclic anion 5-methyl-6-nitro-7-oxo-4,7-dihydro-1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin, which is formed upon the potentials of the first peak. The ESR spectrum of the radical dianion was recorded upon electroreduction of Triazid in the presence of Bu4NOH. The effect of the formation of ion pairs on the reversibility of the second peak of the 1a transformation is shown. A change in the rate and regioselectivity of the protonation of the dianion radical in the presence of Na+ and Li+ ions is assumed. The results of studying the electroreduction of 1a by ESR spectroscopy with a TEMPO trap make it possible to assume the simultaneous formation of both a nitroxyl radical and a radical with the spin density localized on the nitrogen at the 4 position of the six-membered ring

Аннотация: Mesoporous carbon of lamellar morphology was synthesized by the thermal decomposition of zinc glycerolate in an inert atmosphere followed by the removal of zinc oxide from the ZnO/C composite. The obtained material was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and low-temperature adsorption of nitrogen. Mesoporous carbon is remarkable for a high adsorption rate of methylene blue dye from aqueous solutions with the maximum adsorption capacity toward the dye equal to 1680 mg g−1.

Аннотация: Synthesis and study of the physicochemical properties of silsesquioxanes modified with 3-aminopropyl, 2-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyl, and dithiooxamide groups was carried out. The obtained sorbents were characterized by thermal stability, porosity, and a high degree of functionalization; the concentration of groups grafted to the particle surface reached 2.80 mmol g−1. Modified silsesquioxanes were used as an electroactive substance for the development of indicator carbon paste electrodes (CPEs). When using a CPE with a 5% dithiooxamidated silsesquioxane content, the conditions selected for potentiometric titration of aqueous solutions containing silverI were pH 3–4, the titrant was potassium iodide. The designed sensor was successfully tested by analyzing a standard sample and a drug for silver ion content.

Аннотация: The addition of the oxirane derivatives to CO2 was found to occur without Lewis acid involvement but requires the presence of the Lewis base. The reaction was carried out at atmospheric pressure by CO2 bubbling through the starting ether in the presence of a source of halide anion or trichloroacetate anion, which provides the formation of ethylenecarbonate derivatives in preparative amounts. The reactivity of halide anions in the addition of the studied oxirane derivatives to CO2 decreases in the order I− Br− Cl− F− Cl3CCOO−. The quantum chemical calculations of the reaction of CO2 with epichlorohydrin show that the reaction consists of consecutive processes of nucleophilic addition and nucleophilic ipso-substitution, which explains the catalytic effect of the Lewis bases and the order of their activity.

Аннотация: Using coprecipitation, a sol–sol method, and molecular layering, we have synthesized SiO2–ZrO2 composites with SiO2 : ZrO2 ratios from 1 : 1 to 9 : 1 and a large specific surface area, which increases with growth silicon-containing component concentration. Using adsorption of Hammett indicators, we have assessed the concentration of acid–base centers in the pK range 1.3–9.6, which has been shown to vary from 68 to 160 μmol/g. Elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy data have demonstrated the presence of not only water but also nitrate ions and carbon dioxide on the surface of the samples. It has been shown that the use of nanoparticulate SiO2–ZrO2 oxides as heterogeneous catalysts—promoters for (2S,4R)-4-hydroxyprolyl-(S)-1-phenylethylamine trifluoroacetate, a chiral inducer in the asymmetric Biginelli reaction, makes it possible to raise ee (enantiomeric excess) from 39 to 68% and the reaction yield from 29 to 55%.

Аннотация: We have suggested a one-step method for the synthesis of thi-ocarbamoyl derivatives of polyallylamine (TСPAA) and polyaminostyrene (TСPAS) in the eutectic melt thiourea/ammonium thiocyanate, that is more safe and simple in comparison with the known method of functionalization using carbon disulfide. The resulting derivatives are insoluble and can be used as sor-bents without additional cross-linking. Sorption properties of TCPAA and TCPAS toward gold, silver and mercury ions have been studied in solutions of ammonia-thiosulfate leaching of gold and silver-containing sludge of Chalgan experimental workshop, which are also contaminated with mercury. It was shown that both TCPAA and TCPAS are efficient sorbents for silver, while ef-fective recovery of gold and mercury is achieved only with low- and medium-substituted TCPAA.

Аннотация: TiO2/C nanocomposites have been synthesized by developing a facile route based on the annealing of titanium glycerolate in inert atmosphere at 250–850 °C. X-ray diffraction studies reveal that the annealing temperature determines the crystal structure of the TiO2 phase in the compounds, which can be amorphous, anatase, and rutile. In contrast, the nanosized rod-like morphology which to a certain extent is predefined by the titanium glycerolate precursor does not depend on the annealing temperature. The carbon content of the TiO2/C composites amounts to 16–29 wt% and shows up, e.g., in the characteristic Raman D and G bands. Anatase-structured TiO2/C, which is obtained at 600 °C, exhibits the best electrochemical performance among the studied materials. Without the addition of carbon black, it reaches an initial specific discharge capacity of 378 mA h g−1 at 100 mA g−1 and exhibits excellent rate capability with a capacity of 186 mA h g−1 at 1000 mA g−1.

Изучено влияние термообработки в среде каменноугольного пека на свойства выделенных рециклингом УВ. Представлены результаты исследования методом растровой электронной микроскопии и механических испытаний выделенных УВ в сравнении с исходными УВ, используемыми для создания полимерных композиционных материалов.

Аннотация: 1,8-Bis(diisothiosemicarbazido)-3,6-dioxaoctane have been synthesized by subsequent treatment of 2,2 -(ethylenedioxy)bisethylamine with carbon disulfide, sodium chloroacetate, and hydrazine hydrate. 1,8-Bis- (diisothiosemicarbazido)-3,6-dioxaoctane has reacted with lithium 1,1-difluoropenta-2,4-dionate in glacial acetic acid to yield 1,8-bis[5R*,5 R*(5-hydroxy-5-difluoromethyl-4,5-dihydro-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-1-carbothioamido]-3,6-dioxaoctane. The molecular and crystal structure of the product has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.

Аннотация: In order to comprehend the data on reactivity of polychlorinated biphenyls of the Sovol mixture in nucleophilic substitution reactions we have performed quantum-chemical simulation using the RB3LYP\6-31G(d) gas phase approximation. Using the "Atoms-in-Molecules" approach, we have computed charges on the biphenyl carbon atoms adjacent to chlorine; furthermore, absolute chemical hardness and global electrophilicity index have been determined for the studied chlorobiphenyls. The calculated descriptors have been correlated with experimentally determined reactivity of the biphenyls in the hard acid-hard base nucleophilic reactions. The higher reactivity of more chlorinated substrates has been confirmed

Аннотация: To explain the chemical reactivity of polychlorinated biphenyls in nucleophilic (SN) and electrophilic (SE) substitutions, quantum chemical calculations were carried out at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of the Density Functional Theory in gas phase. Carbon atomic charges in biphenyl structure were calculated by the Atoms-in-Molecules method. Chemical hardness and global electrophilicity index parameters were determined for congeners. A comparison of calculated descriptors and experimental data for congener reactivity in the SN and SE reactions was made. It is shown that interactions in the SN mechanism are reactions of the hard acid-hard base type, these are the most effective in case of highly chlorinated substrates. To explain the congener reactivity in the SE reactions, correct descriptors were not established. The obtained results can be used to carry out chemical transformations of the polychlorinated biphenyls in order to prepare them for microbiological destruction or preservation

Аннотация: N-Containing perfluoropentanoic acid derivatives were used as modifying additives to commercial epoxy resins. As shown by differential thermal analysis, the fluorinated organic derivatives exhibit catalytic activity in curing of epoxy resins. The following characteristics of the adhesive compounds in the cured state were determined: degree of swelling, gel fraction content, ultimate shear strength of the adhesive joint, adhesion to low-carbon St.3 steel and AMg-6 aluminum-magnesium alloy, and corrosion-protective properties with respect to these materials
