Аннотация: Epoxy-anhydride polymers based on N,N,O-triglycidyl-p-aminophenol and isomethyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride were synthesized in the presence of new active modifiers, polyfluoroalkyl glycidyl ethers. The kinetics of the reactions of the modifiers with the anhydride were studied by differential scanning calorimetry and IR spectroscopy. The physicomechanical characteristics, glass transition points, and water absorption of the polymers were determined.

Аннотация: The hybrid materials based on polysiloxane modified by amino groups have been synthesized by the sol-gel method. Aminated polysiloxane has been prepared by the copolycondensation reaction of tetraethoxysilane with gamma-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS-1) and through the modification of the product (APS-2) of the hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane by gamma-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The composition of sorbents has been confirmed by the elemental analysis and IR Fourier spectroscopy. The high degree of sorption extraction of copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II), zinc(II), cadmium(II), and lead(II) ions in the case of their coexistence in an ammonia-acetate buffer solution has been observed for polysiloxanes APS-2. The synthesized surface-modified materials exhibit the highest selectivity to nickel(II) and cobalt(II) ions

Аннотация: Methods for synthesis of nanosized precursors for the preparation of yttrium-aluminum garnet from organic-inorganic derivatives of yttrium and aluminum have been developed. It has been shown that most of the methods for carrying out the process result in the formation of precursors with high specific surface area. The precursor obtained using nanosized powder of aluminum oxide and yttrium acetylacetonate is the least agglomerated. The data obtained can be used when preparing optical ceramic from yttrium-aluminum garnet

Аннотация: The thermal stability of the unmodified, aminated, and thiocarbamoylated polysiloxanes has been studied. The siloxane matrix is stable in the temperature range up to 800°C. For the first time, mass spectrometry has been applied to the analysis of the composition of the gaseous products of thermal decomposition of the studied polysiloxanes. It has been shown that, in the process of thermal decomposition, the terminal functional groups are detached and oxidized. Water, ammonia, nitrogen, carbon, and sulfur (in the case of thiourea-modified sorbent) oxides are formed predominantly. The quantitative removal of functional groups during heating up to 800°C has been confirmed by IR spectroscopy. A mechanism of thermal decomposition of polysiloxane xerogels has been proposed. It has been found that adsorption of platinum increases the thermal stability of the samples

Аннотация: Small-molecule fluorescent sensors (1–5) for the recognition of nitroaromatic compounds, such as 2,4-dinitrotoluene and the explosive TNT, were obtained by using a three-step dehydrohalogenation cycloaddition protocol. The interaction of the receptors and nitroaromatics was studied both in solution and in the solid state by using fluorescence spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography, respectively. It is shown that the iptycene receptors 1–5 provide a cavity suitable for binding nitroaromatic compounds in an edge-to-face mode, rather than simple ring-stacking interactions. The results obtained inspired us to develop an inexpensive, reliable and robust sensor for vapour detection of explosives. Polymer nanofibres are particularly suitable for the production of such TNT sensors as they accelerate the mass exchange between the polymer and the vapours of TNT. Quenching of the sensors took place within 1 min compared to 10 min for a glass-slide assay. Hence, the sensor performance can be improved by optimising the matrix material and morphology without resynthesising the sensor moieties

Аннотация: The reaction of hydrogen transfer from coal tar pitch and petroleum pitches to Α-methylstyrene with the formation of cumene was investigated in glass ampoules within the temperature range of 200-360 °C and reaction time of 15-60 min and when passing Α-methylstyrene through a layer of coal tar pitch. It is shown that the formation of non-chromatographable products of Α-methylstyrene condensation with polycyclic aromatic compounds of pitches occurs simultaneously. The dependences of Α-methylstyrene conversion, the selectivity for cumene and condensation products on the temperature and reaction time, the ratio of pitch/Α-methylstyrene are determined. The amount of hydrogen transferred from pitches to Α-methylstyrene was determined, and the results obtained were compared with the literature data on the transfer of hydrogen from pitches obtained using anthracene as a hydrogen acceptor.

Аннотация: A new method for assessing the quality of fibre coating based on a combination of fluorescence microscopy and electron paramagnetic resonance is presented in this work. An influence of the carboxymethylcellulose/polyvinylamine gel preparation method on the mobility of the spin label was established. The mobility of the spin label changes from 3.5 ns in the case of a polyvinylamine solution to 12.8 ns in the case of a cross-linked gel on the surface of the glass fibre. A qualitative relationship was found between the mobility of the spin label in the gel applied to the glass fibre and the rate of spreading of crude oil over its surface. This method can be used to make membranes for the separation of water-in-oil emulsions.
