Аннотация: A series of gamma-aminopropylsilylated sorbents was obtained from different oxide supports (silica gels, silica fillers, macroporous glasses, alumina) and by the direct synthesis (hydrolytic polycondensation of tetraalkoxysilanes with gamma-aminopropyltriethoxysilane). The highest degree of immobilization was achieved for silicas, while the most convenient solvent was methanol. Sorbents with beta-alanine functional groups were obtained by the subsequent reaction with acrylic acid. The degree of beta-carboxyethylation was 1.3–1.9, and the highest content of functional groups (vCOOH = 3.23 mmol g–1) was achieved for carboxyethylated xero gel synthesized by the copolycondensation of tetraethoxysilane with -aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The sorbents containing beta-alanine possess a higher selectivity of Cu2+ ion sorption than the initial gamma-aminopropylsilylated sorbents

Аннотация: The method for immobilization of chiral molecules (menthol and proline derivatives) on the mixed nanooxide TiO2–SiO2 surface has been developed. The synthesized nanocomposites were used as catalysts of the Biginelli reaction. It was shown that inactive chiral molecules, when covalently bonded to the nanooxide surface, acquired properties of a chiral inducer in the asymmetric Biginelli reaction.

Аннотация: A significant role of the stress response to many different diseases prompted a search for new specialized and non-specialized anti-stress agents. This study examines the effect of the compound L17 from the group of 5-phenyl substituted-6H-1,3,4-thiadiazine-2-amines, on the manifestations of the stress response. The authors used a standard model of immobilization stress, in which an animal was immobilized on its back for 6 ha day. Parameters of the morphological and functional states of the organs studied were measured and biochemical and enzyme-immunoassays were carried out on the first and second days. This study reveals that the main mechanism by which the L17 compound mediates of its anti-stress was by activation of macrophages on the second day of the experiments and the inhibition of apoptosis in the thymus. The results enable us to suggest that the compound L17 does not improve resistance to stress; however, it does lower the reaction to stress.

Аннотация: The mechanism of N-phosphonomethyl iminodiacetic acid (PMIDA) binding with the Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticle (MNPs) surface by Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and thermogravimetry was comprehensive studied. To study of microstructure, size and core structure of synthesized nanoparticles the scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis and Raman spectroscopy were carried out. A new scheme for the tridentate bonding of the phosphonomethyl derivative with surface Fe atoms involving unequal P–O–Fe bonds was proposed. The mechanism of thermal decomposition of PMIDA molecules on the MNP surface was studied using a thermogravimetric analyzer combined with infrared spectrometer. It was shown for the first time that during the thermal treatment of phosphonomethyl-modified MNPs, PMIDA molecules are not desorbed from the surface of MNPs but gradually decompose. We believe that obtained in this work data will be useful for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of phosphonic acid derivatives interaction with MNPs, as well as in the design of new biomedical materials, in which the conjugation of biomolecules with carboxyl groups of PMIDA-modified MNPs is assumed.

Аннотация: Derivatives of RGD peptides are promising vector molecules for targeting biomolecules and nanoparticles into tumor tissues and are used for the design of diagnostic agents. The immobilization of the glutaryl-containing derivative of Gly-L-Arg(Pbf)-Gly-L-Asp(OMe)2 (GRGD) tetrapeptide on Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) was studied. The results of thermogravimetric and elemental analysis, as well as IR spectroscopy, were used to estimate the amount of organic components at each stage of modification of MNPs.

Аннотация: Surface modifi cation of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) with tetramethylorthosilicate and 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane was studied. The use of N-phosphonomethyliminodiacetic acid for the stabilization of the initial MNPs can signifi cantly increase the coating thickness and specifi c surface area of SiO2/APS-modifi ed (APS is 3-aminopropylsilane) MNPs. The possibility of sorption of antitumor drug doxorubicin (DOX) on the synthesized nanoparticles was studied. The degree of sorption of DOX increases with an increase in the specifi c surface area of the particles.

Аннотация: Biocatalysts based on the methylotrophic yeast Ogataea polymorpha VKM Y-2559 immobilized in polymer-based nanocomposites for the treatment of methanol-containing wastewater were developed. The organosilica composites with different matrix-to-filler ratios derived from TEOS/MTES in the presence of PEG (SPEG-composite) and from silicon-polyethylene glycol (STPEG-composite) differ in the structure of the silicate phase and its distribution in the composite matrix. Methods of fluorescent and scanning microscopy first confirmed the formation of an organosilica shell around living yeast cells during sol-gel bio-STPEG-composite synthesis. Biosensors based on the yeast cells immobilized in STPEG- and SPEG-composites are characterized by effective operation: the coefficient of sensitivity is 0.85 ± 0.07 mgO2 × min−1 × mmol−1 and 0.87 ± 0.05 mgO2 × min−1 × mmol−1, and the long-term stability is 10 and 15 days, respectively. The encapsulated microbial cells are protected from UV radiation and the toxic action of heavy metal ions. Biofilters based on the developed biocatalysts are characterized by high effectiveness in the utilization of methanol-rich wastewater—their oxidative power reached 900 gO2/(m3 × cycle), and their purification degree was up to 60%.
