Аннотация: This review is focused on consideration of effects of the nature of N,​N'- and N,​O-​bidentate ligands on the structure and optical properties of their B(III) complexes. It has been established that B(III) complexes with asym. N,​N'- and N,​O-​bidentate ligands, such as ortho-​hydroxyphenyl substituted azaheterocycles and heteryl-​β-​ketoimines, exhibit large Stokes shifts, enhanced intensity, and extended range for luminescence in solns. as well as in solid state, comparable with characteristics of the family of BODIPYs derivs. Complexes of some bidentate ligands can be considered as promising fluorophores for applications in biomedical imaging, electroluminescent, solar cell devices, and other fields.

Аннотация: The ‘triazine’ methodology for the synthesis of functionalised bipyridine ligands proved to be a convenient method for the preparation of luminescent Eu(III) complexes. The approach allows flexible construction of chromophore and coordination sphere with control of photophysical properties. Europium (III) complexes [Eu1]-[Eu5] prepared in this way exhibit intense long-life metal-centered luminescence in aqueous media. The aromatic substituent in the position 5 of bipyridine has a significant influence on luminescence parameters and is used to introduce functionality for bioconjugation. The complexes [Eu4] and [Eu5] bearing primary amine groups are ready-to-go luminescent ‘tags’ for peptide labeling

Аннотация: 3,3,3-Trifluoro-N-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)-1,2-propanediamine (5) was synthesized by the reaction of 2-diazo-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-nitropropane or 3,3,3-trifluoro-1-nitropropene with 3-aminobenzotrifluoride followed by the reduction of the nitro group. The Michael 1,4-addition of diamine 5 to acrylic acid occurs only at the N(1) atom and affords N-mono-or N,N-dicarboxyethyl derivatives 6 and 7, depending on the reactant ratio. Protolytic equilibria 5–7 in aqueous solutions were studied by pH-potentiometry and UV spectroscopy. Only the aliphatic amino group can be protonated in an aqueous solution, while the aromatic amino group remains unprotonated even in 12 M HCl. The stability constants of transition metal (Cu2+, Ni2+, Zn2+) complexes with ligands 5–7 were determined by pH-potentiometric titration. The stability of the complexes and selectivity of the ligands toward Cu2+ ions increase with an increase in the number of N-carboxyethyl groups

Аннотация: The present work reports on the synthesis of series of azolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazines and derivatives of azoloazapurines. The synthesized compounds were tested in vitro for antibacterial activity against N. gonorrhoeae and antimycotic activity against Trichophyton interdigitale, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis and Candida albicans. It was found that 10 compounds of the series of 3-nitroazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazine-4-amines 4 exhibit high antibacterial activity (MIC≤15 μg/ml), but do not exhibit antimycotic activity. For compounds active against N. gonorrhoeae, a biological target was predicted from the pharmacophore search method and homologous modeling was carried out for it. The results of molecular docking using the constructed model of dihydrofolate reductase have a good correlation with in vitro tests. Refined docking showed the similarity of the leading compounds positions in the protein active site. The formation of stable non-covalent bonds of the nitro group with the amino acid residues Lys34/Lys55 makes a major contribution to the orienting effect of ligands.

Аннотация: The CuII ion in the title complex, [Cu(C5H 10NO3)2] or [Cu(He-ala)2] [He-ala = W-(2-hydroxyethyl)-?-alaninate], resides at the inversion centre of a square bipyramid comprised of two facially arranged tridentate He-ala ligands. Each He-ala ligand binds to a CuII ion by forming one six-membered ?-alaninate chelate ring in a twist conformation and one five-membered ethanolamine ring in an envelope conformation, with Cu-N = 2.017 (2) A, Cu-OCoo = 1.968 (1) A and Cu-OOH = 2.473 (2) A. The [Cu(He-ala)2] molecules are involved in a network of O-H?O and N-H?O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the (101?) plane. The layers are connected into a three-dimensional structure by van der Waals interactions, so that the molecular centres form pseudo-face-centered close packing. © 2005 International Union of Crystallography????

Аннотация: N-(2-Pyridylmethyl)iminodipropionic (I) and N-(2-pyridylmethyl)-3-aminopropionic acids (II) were obtained. A reaction of acid I with a Cu(II) salt gave a 2: 2 complex (III); a reaction of acid II with a Ni(II) salt yielded a 1 : 2 complex (IV). The crystal structures of these complexes were determined by X-ray diffraction. The abilities of compounds I and II to form complexes were compared with the literature data for other ligands containing the N-(2-pyridylmethyl)amino fragment. Аннотация: A comparative analysis of the structures of copper(II) and nickel(II) chelate complexes with N-substituted 2-aminoethanols, 3-aminopropan- 1 -ols, glycines and beta-alanines is performed. It is shown that tetradentate ligands based on 3-aminopropan- 1 -ol and P-alanine, sterically hindered 2-aminoethanol derivatives and tridentate enamino ketone derivatives tend to form oligonuclear copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes. Glycine derivatives do not provide the formation of oligonuclear copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes. The magnetic properties of a number of polynuclear complexes are compared.
