Аннотация: A general synthetic route for the synthesis of functionalized bi- and terpyridines is reported. Functionalized 1,2,4-triazene 4-oxides 7 and 8 - obtained from the reaction of hydrazones 1 with pyridine aldehydes and followed by oxidation - are functionalized by introduction of a cyano group via nucleophilic aromatic substitution. The thus-obtained 5-cyano-1,2,4-triazines 9 and 10 undergo facile inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder reactions with enamines and alkenes to yield functionalized bi- and terpyridines, respectively. The substituent at position 6 of the 1,2,4-triazene 4-oxides must be aromatic or heteroaromatic in order to allow their facile synthesis, but other substituents and reagents may vary. Each step of the synthetic route allows diversification, which makes the approach particularly useful for the facile synthesis of a large variety of functionalized bi- and terpyridines.

Аннотация: Asymmetrical oxidation was performed of menthone dithiolane obtained in 95–98% yield by condensation of menthone with 1,2-ethanedithiol in the presence of boron trifluoride etherate. 6-Isopropyl-9-methyl-1,4-dithiaspiro[4,5]decane-1,4-dioxide (yield 5–55%) and 6-isopropyl-9-methyl-1,4-dithiaspiro[4,5]-decane-1,1,4-trioxide (yield 65–70%) were synthesized. Аннотация: New atom-economic and environmentally friendly processes should replace the traditional ways of building C–C, C–N, C–O, C–P, C–S bonds, which are usually based on the replacement of a halogen atom, and, therefore, required the preliminary modification of substrates, and the use of aggressive reagents, harsh conditions or expensive catalysts. In recent years, the direct metal-free functionalization of the C(sp2)–H bond, which provides the most efficient and low-waste pathway for molecular transformation, has attracted increasing attention. However, these transformations usually require stoichiometric amounts of chemical oxidizing agents. The modern world and its sustainable development trends are forcing the chemical industry to improve in an environmentally friendly direction and meet the requirements of “green chemistry.” In this regard, the use of electrochemical methods is extremely important. Electrochemical anodic oxidation is an ideal option for the replacement of chemical oxidizers in C–H functionalization reactions. The data on the main electrochemical methods and approaches used for the direct functionalization of the C(sp2)–H bond in heterocyclic compounds are classified and summarized in this paper.

Аннотация: A design and a convenient approach for the synthesis of novel N-sulfonyl-2-diphenylmethylsulfinylacetamidines have been demonstrated by starting from benzhydrylsulfanylacetic (BSA) acid. This approach involves a sequential amidation with amines, thionation with Lawesson's reagent, iminosulfonylation with sulfonyl azides, and oxidation of sulfide fragment with hydrogen peroxide. The key step of this transformation (reaction of thioamides with sulfonyl azides) was carried out either in ethanol or in the absence of any solvent. The synthesized compounds were tested in cells for inhibition of dopamine transporter. Among the synthesized compounds, two products were found to be in a similar range of activity as the well-known dopamine transporter inhibitor, modafinil.

Аннотация: A convenient method for one-step coupling of benzoannelated crown ethers with 1,2,4-triazinones based on the reaction of nucleophilic addition to unsubstituted carbon atom of the triazine ring has been worked out. It has been shown that the reaction of 3-substituted 1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-ones (1) with benzocrown ethers (benzo-12-crown-4, benzo-15-crown-5, benzo-18-crown-6) in the presence of acetic or trifluoroacetic anhydride is accompanied by acylation of triazine ring and results in formation of 3-(1-acyl-5-oxo-1,4,5,6-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazin-6-yl)benzocrown ethers (7-12). The latters were converted to 3-(5-oxo-2,5-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-6-yl)benzocrown ethers (18-20) using two alternative routes: the elimination of acetic or trifluoroacetaldehyde or the deacylation followed by the oxidation of the 1,4,5,6-tetrahydro derivatives (13-15).

Аннотация: We synthesize CrxTi1-xSe2 (x = 0–0.83) and CrxTi1-xS2 (x = 0.3–0.4) systems and study the structure of these materials on mono- and polycrystalline samples. It appeared that an increase in chromium content leads to inversion of titanium diselenide intercalated with chromium to chromium diselenide intercalated with titanium. The XPS of core levels and valence bands of 1T-CrxTi1-xSe2 and CrxTi1-xS2 was also investigated and it was shown that in in-layer and inter-layer positions the atoms of chromium and titanium are characterized by a slightly differing oxidation state. Chromium LDOS model calculations were carried out and the results being in agreement with the experimental data show that the Cr 3d density of electronic states of chromium in Ti-positions in the host lattice displays half-metallic properties, while the Cr 3d density of electronic states of intercalated chromium is far from being half-metallic????

Аннотация: Herein, we report a convenient one-pot synthesis of 1,2,4-triazinyl derivatives of benzocoumarins. The proposed approach consists of the nucleophilic addition of tetrahydrobenzo annulated dimethoxycoumarin to 1,2,4-triazines followed by double oxidation of both dihydrotriazine and tetrahydrobenzo groups with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ). The nucleophilic addition of the dimethoxycoumarin to 1,2,4-triazines was carried out in the presence of three-fold excess of methanesulfonic acid in DCM at room temperature. It takes place between positions 8 and 5 of coumarin and 1,2,4-triazine, respectively. The double oxidation step was carried out with 3.6 equivalent of DDQ. Selective oxidation of dihydrotriazine moiety, without affecting the tetrahydrobenzo fragment, was achieved using 1.2 equivalent of tetrachlorobenzoquinone (TCQ). The differences in the oxidation with TCQ and DDQ appear to be related to the higher oxidative potential of DDQ in contrast to TCQ. The advantages of the method are the elimination of the use of transition metals, the availability of starting materials, and the simplicity of the procedure. The proposed approach provides a two-step one-pot protocol for the synthesis of triazinyl benzocoumarins, precursors for the preparation of push-pull pyridinyl chromophore.

Аннотация: Oxidation of cyclohexanone to ɛ-caprolactone with stable industrially manufactured hydrogen peroxide derivatives: adduct with urea (urea hydrogen peroxide), sodium perborate, sodium percarbonate (Persol), magnesium monoperphthalate (Dismozon) was studied. Oxidation with urea hydrogen peroxide is the most efficient in hexafluoroisopropanol in the case of preliminary removal of urea in the form of an oxalate. Oxidation with sodium perborate and percarbonate provides high yields in trifluoroacetic acid.
