Аннотация: A new type of intramolecular cyclization of 1,5-bis[2-(E-3-oxo-3-phenylprop-1-enyl)-phenoxy]-3-oxapentane with 3-aminotriazole promoted by potassium ions was discovered. A cascade mechanism for the formation of crownophane with 4,7-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]-pyrimidine fragment was suggested. Effects of oligooxyethylene fragment of the chalcone podand and acid-base catalysis on the selectivity of the cyclocondensation processes and degree of oxidation of triazolopyrimidine fragments were studied. The product structures were confirmed by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction study

Аннотация: The reactions of 3-aryl-1,2,4-triazines with -aminovinyl ketones or ethyl -aminocrotonates in acetic anhydride at room temperature afforded cyclic products of the tandem nucleophilic addition, viz., 3a,4,7,7a-tetrahydro-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-e]-1,2,4-triazines, in good yields. Under oxidative conditions, the latter compounds underwent the pyrrole-ring opening under the action of potassium permanganate to form the corresponding triazinones and were transformed into thriazolyl-substituted pyridines under the action of selenious acid

The oxidation of highly chlorinated benzenes and biphenyls proceeds with lower conversion than that of the low-chlorinated compounds. The oxidation of the highly chlorinated aromatic substrates is not selective; the reaction mixture contains products of several competitive reactions: addition and elimination of radical species, disproportionation, isomerization, etc. The structures of the products have been determined by means of gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection

Аннотация: Synthesis and study of the physicochemical properties of silsesquioxanes modified with 3-aminopropyl, 2-aminoethyl-3-aminopropyl, and dithiooxamide groups was carried out. The obtained sorbents were characterized by thermal stability, porosity, and a high degree of functionalization; the concentration of groups grafted to the particle surface reached 2.80 mmol g−1. Modified silsesquioxanes were used as an electroactive substance for the development of indicator carbon paste electrodes (CPEs). When using a CPE with a 5% dithiooxamidated silsesquioxane content, the conditions selected for potentiometric titration of aqueous solutions containing silverI were pH 3–4, the titrant was potassium iodide. The designed sensor was successfully tested by analyzing a standard sample and a drug for silver ion content.

Аннотация: The formation of the giant Muruntau gold-quartz deposit and ore field (western Uzbekistan) is defined as a prolonged (70 Ma) multiphase geological process related to shear tension and ductile deformations of rocks. The history of the ore field development is very complicated, and there is still much to be learned about it. We studied the conditions, zonation, and deformations of the metasomatism-related ore formation, as well as the behavior of carbonaceous matter (CM) in this process. Lower Paleozoic sheared carbonaceous host rocks are regionally metamorphosed in the muscovite-chlorite subfacies. This process, which evolved over a long time (C3-P1), started with the increase in temperature (the progressive megastage) and continued during its decrease when the bulk of gold was deposited. The beginning of the process was associated with ductile deformations that showed up in folding and shearing of rocks. At that time, pre-ore magnesium-potassium metasomatism took place in the temperature interval of 400-600°C. During the regressive megastage, calcium metasomatism occurred and skarn assemblages (actinolite, clinozoisite, diopside, and garnet) were deposited at T = 400-520°C. Later, ductile deformations were replaced by brittle deformations, and quartz-ore veinlets and lenses formed together with locally developed vein-related orthoclase-chlorite, albite-carbonate, sericite-tourmaline, and quartz-adular metasomatites. The metasomatic zonation showed up at early stages and was oriented along the direction of fluid filtration. The outer (front) zone is represented by a dome of biotitized rocks. Banded biotite-feldspar-quartz metasomatites occur within them. Their back (inner) zones are composed of the biotite-orthoclase-quartz assemblage. Younger skarn assemblages make up series of thin bands within biotite-feldspar-quartz metasomatites. Ore veinlets are enclosed within this metasomatic halo. CM took an active part in the hydrothermal process: it was output from metasomatic zones and redeposited along their outer boundary. CM interacted with the hydrothermal solution and maintained the reducing medium at the level of a QFM buffer. Temperatures established by the carbon isotope thermometer (CM + carbonate) are similar to values of mineral geothermometers (250-350°C during ore deposition). The distinctive features of metasomatism in the Muruntau ore field, hosted by carbonaceous sequences and shear zones, are the absence of vein-related zonation and a poor vertical zonation (a low T gradient), suppressed acid metasomatism, and the lack of an obvious relationship between ore mineralization and a particular magmatism.????

Аннотация: A rational synthetic approach to substituted naphtho[1,8-gh]quinolines based on intramolecular cyclization in the presence of potassium in the series of (naphthalen-1-yl)isoquinolines is described. The photophysical properties of the obtained compounds were studied; in particular, fluorescence emission was detected in the range 454-482 nm with a quantum yield of up to 54%. We also calculated the HOMO-LUMO energies and optimized molecular structures for the resulting fluorophores. Based on the results of fluorescence titration, the Stern-Volmer constants (up to 21587 M-1) and the detection limits of nitroanalytes (up to 1.4 ppm) were calculated, confirming the possibility of their use as potential chemosensors for the visual detection of nitro-containing explosives.

Аннотация: Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), also known by the trade name Sovol, are toxic industrial wastes. They have been subjected to chemical treatment by polyethylene glycols (PEGs) and potassium hydroxide. As a result of the interaction of the Sovol with various molecular mass PEGs (MMPEG-4 ∼ 200, MMPEG-22 ∼ 1000), water-soluble mixtures M1 and M2 containing mono(polyethylene glycol)oxy-derivatives (PCB-PEG-4 and PCB-PEG-22), polychlorobiphenylols, and unreacted PCB congeners (PCB 44, PCB 47, PCB 49, PCB 52, and PCB 66) were obtained. It was shown for the first time that mixtures M1 and M2 are susceptible to bacterial degradation without their fractionation. According to the gas-liquid chromatography with flame-ionization and mass-spectrometric detection, the Rhodococcus wratislaviensis KT112-7 strain degraded all of the chemical compounds occurring in the mixtures. In a 5-day experiment, it was found that the KT112-7 strain decomposes mono(polyethylene glycol)oxy-derivatives completely (by 100%) and polychlorobiphenylols and PCB congeners by 90–95% in the M1 and M2 mixtures. The culture medium did not contain transformation products, whereas free chlorine ions were accumulated (72–94% of the maximum possible amount). Thus, the use of the chemical modification and consecutive bacterial degradation provided an effective destruction of technical PCB mixtures with a high content of highly chlorinated congeners
