Аннотация: Here we report on solution properties and flocculation performance of polyampholyte chitosan derivatives - N-carboxyethylated chitosans (CEC) - synthesized "in gel" by treatment of chitosan with acrylic acid. We show that carboxyethylation with the substitution degrees (DS) from 0.7 to 1.6 yields water-soluble derivatives, whose isoelectric points (IEP) range from 6.30 to 3.55. At pH 7.5 interaction of negatively charged CEC derivatives with positively charged colloids of the heavy metal hydroxides (Zn2+, Cu2+, Ni2+), serving as a model of postgalvanic wastewaters, results in lowering of electrokinetic potential of the hydroxide colloids and their precipitation at appropriate flocculant dose. Investigations of CEC flocculation performance depending on pH and DS show that the efficiency of metal removal decreases in the row Cu2+ Zn2+ Ni2+ corresponding to the row of the hydroxocomplex stability for these metals. The higher was pH of the system and DS of CEC derivative, the narrower was the flocculation window and the stronger was negative effect of flocculant overdosing on the efficiency of heavy metal removal. Based on the estimation of floc settling rates and the residual metal concentrations, we have concluded that the optimal DS of CEC derivatives for the precipitation of metal hydroxides is 0.7-1.0

Аннотация: A new class of inhibitors of herpes simplex virus replication was found. The compounds under study are derived from condensed 1,2,4-triazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazines and 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines, structural analogues of natural nucleic bases. Antiherpetic activity and cytotoxicity of the compounds were studied. The corresponding triphosphates of several active compounds were prepared and tested as inhibitors of DNA synthesis catalyzed by herpes simplex virus polymerase. The potential mechanism of their action is blocking of DNA dependent DNA polymerase, a key enzyme of viral replication

Аннотация: The diastereoselective synthesis, NMR and X-ray structure of (S)-2-((S)-2-(N-Ts-amino)-3-methylbutanoyl)-3-(1H-indol-3-yl)-6-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-one—a potential antivirus agent are reported. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with unit cell parameters: a = 5.9259(6) A, b = 9.6370(12) A, c = 12.9541(9) A, = 109.210(9)°, beta = 90.804(7)°, y = 105.074(10)° and Z = 1.

Аннотация: New ionic complexes [ML2(MeCN)2]•2Otf (M = Co or Ni; L = 6-ferrocenyl-2,2?-bipyridyl) were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Cyclic voltammograms of the compounds [ML2(MeCN)2]•2Otf in CH2Cl2 show good cycle stability over 100 cycles in the quasi-reversible oxidation potential range (from 0.25 to 0.5 V).????

Аннотация: Nanosized solid-state solutions of Sc 1-xEu x(CH 3CO 2) 3 (x = 0.01-0.1) have been obtained and their morphology, structure, vibrational and luminescence properties studied. The experimental IR and Raman spectra are in accord with the structures assigned to these compounds. A spectroscopic study showed that scandium acetate doped with 10 at.% Eu 3+ holds interest as a potential luminescent material active in the visible spectrum. Solid-state solutions of Sc 1-xEu x(CH 3CO 2) 3 can be used as precursors for obtaining nanosized oxides Sc 2-2xEu 2xO 3 with specified particle morphology
