Аннотация: The diamagnetic dinuclear complex Ni2L4 was synthesized by the reaction of NiCl2·6H2O with 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (LH) in ethanol in the presence of Et3N. The solid-state reaction (reagent ratio Ni: LH = 1: 2) followed by recrystallization of the reaction product from a MeCN-THF mixture afforded crystals of the associate [Ni2L4]2·[NiCl2(LH)2(MeCN)2] containing four acetonitrile solvate molecules. Crystals of 2·4MeCN exhibit ferromagnetic properties at helium temperatures

Аннотация: 2-(2-Hydroxyphenyl)–3H-quinazolin-4-ones with diverse substituents at phenol ring and their six-membered difluoroboron complexes have been synthesized via few-stage approach. The photophysical properties of target compounds have been investigated in two solvents as well as in the solid state. The nature of substituents and substitution point in the phenol moiety of ligands and resulting BF2-complexes on the photophysical properties of dyes have been explored. The complex bearing two t-Bu groups proved to be the most emissive in solid state, whereas its 5-methoxy and 4-diethylamino counterparts possess strong emission in toluene solution. The dyes exhibited large Stokes shifts which was attributed to excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT). Additionally, fluorescence of quinazolinones in the mixture of THF/water was studied. All ligands demonstrated emission enhancement with increase of water fraction which was due to aggregation induced emission.

Аннотация: Zinc enolates obtained from ethyl 2,2-dialkyl-4,4-dibromo-3-oxobutanoates and zinc react with N-substituted 2-oxochromen-3-carboxamides forming ethyl 3-(1a-(R3-carbamoyl)-2-oxo-1a,7b-dihydrocyclopropa[c]chromen-1-yl)-2,2-dialkyl-3-oxopropanoate isomer with a Z-position of methine hydrogens. Zinc enolates prepared from alkyl 2,2-dialkyl-4,4-dibromo-3-oxopentanoates and-hexanoates and zinc react with N-substituted 2-oxochromen-3-carboxamides to give rise to esters of 3-(1-alkyl-1a-(R3-carbamoyl)-2-oxo-1a,7b-dihydrocyclopropa-[c]chromen-1-yl)-2,2-dialkyl-3-oxopropanoic acid as isomers with the E-position of the methine proton and the alkyl substituent. The reaction carried out in the presence of small quantities of THF and HMPA leads to the formation of 9c-alkyl-2-R3-9b,9c-dihydro-5-oxa-2-azacyclopenta[2,3]-cyclopropa[1,2-a]naphthalene-1,3,4-triones. Zinc enolates from alkyl 2,2-dialkyl-4,4-dibromo-3-oxopentanoates and-hexanoates and zinc with the secondary amides of 2-oxochromen-3-carboxylic acid form alkyl 3-(2-oxo-1a-(piperidinocarbonyl)-and 3-(6-R1-1a-(morpholinocarbonyl)-2-oxo-1a,7b-dihydrocyclopropa[c]chromen-1-yl)-2,2-R2,R2-3-oxopropanoates as single geometrical isomers

Аннотация: Hybrid nanocomposite films containing silica (11.4 wt.%) or titania (18.8 wt.%) in the polymer matrix were prepared by the sol—gel method using the hydrolytic polycondensation of tetraethoxysilane and tetrabutoxysilane in a THF solution of aromatic polymer, polysulfone (PSF). The influence of the oxide nature and the film composition on the structure, the interaction of the polymer with oxides, hydrophilicity, and sorption—diffusion properties of the hybrid films were studied by FTIR spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, dynamic light scattering, and a complex of other physicochemical methods. The absence of chemical or intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the polymer and oxide particles in the PSF films was shown. The average size of the oxides (SiO2, 20 nm; TiO2, ~90 nm) in the films and roughness of their surface (~0.2—0.8 nm) were determined. The introduction of oxides into the polymer matrix increases the hydrophilic properties and the ability of the PSF films to swell in water; the diffusion coefficients of water and permeability of water vapor in the PSF films also increase. Titania also induces a more considerable change in the structure of the polymer matrix and more strongly affects the sorption—diffusion properties of the hybrid films in aqueous solutions of THF. All prepared nanocomposite films PSF/SiO2 and PSF/TiO2 are capable of extracting an organic component from aqueous solutions and can be used as sorbents and membrane films for the removal of organic substances from the aqueous medium

Аннотация: The grafting of silane groups on clay surfaces has been recently investigated in order to fabricate versatile compounds with new potential applications in materials science and ecological engineering. This work explored the influence of variety of solvents with variable polarity on the silanization of halloysite nanoclay (HNT) surface by (3-Glycidyloxy propyl) trimethoxy silane. To this purpose, the functionalization of HNT by 3-Glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GOPTMS) has been conducted in Ethanol (polar protic solvent), Tetrahydrofuran (THF) and Acetonitrile (polar aprotic solvents), and Hexane, 1,4-Dioxane and Toluene (non polar solvents). The silane grafted materials were characterized by using several techniques, including Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), elemental analysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Thermogravimetry (TGA), X-ray Diffraction Analysis (XRD) and Nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms. The largest silane loading has been detected for the hybrid nanomaterials prepared in Hexane as a dispersing medium.
