Аннотация: Reaction of nickel cluster Ni9(HOOCCMe3) 4(?4-OH)3(?3-OH) 3(?n-OOCCMe3)12 (1) or cobalt pivalate polymer [Co(OH)n(OOCCMe3)2-n] x (7) with bis[3,5-(dimethylpyrazolyl)]-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (3) in MeCN solution was found as a result in the formation of isostructural pentanuclear clusters of composition M5(?3-OH) 2(?-OOCCMe3)4(?-N,N?,N? -3,5-Me2C3HN2C2(O)N 4)4(MeCN)2 (M = Ni (4), Co (8)) with a planar spirane metal core. Reaction of cobalt complex 7 with 3 in benzene gives rise to a pentanuclear cluster Co5(?3-OH)2(?-OOCCMe 3)4(?-N,N?,N?-3,5-Me2C 3HN2C2(O)N4)4(C 5N2H8)2 (9), containing coordinated pyrazole molecules as terminating ligands instead of labile MeCN ligands in 8. The reaction of cluster 8 with 2,6-diaminopyridine (T = 85 °C) in MeCN results in the substitution of MeCN ligands and formation of a new cluster Co5(?3-OH)2(?-OOCCMe3) 4(?-N,N?,N?-3,5-Me2C3HN 2C2(O)N4)4(C5H 7N3)2 (10) with two 2,6-diaminopyridine ligands instead of MeCN molecules. The reactions of 4 and 8 with NiCl 2·6H2O in MeCN/EtOH solution (3: 1) give rise to isostructural ferromagnetic pentanuclear chloro-bridged clusters M 5(?3-OH)2(?-CI)2(? -OOCCMe3)2(?-N,N?,N?-3,5-Me 2C3HN2C2 (O)N4) 2(?-N,N?,N?,O-3,5-Me2C3HN 2C2(O)N4)2(MeCN)2 (M = Co (11), Ni (12)). The reaction of 8 with solid COCl2·6H 2O in MeCN results in new seven-nuclear ferromagnetic cluster CO 5(?3-OH)2(?-CI)2(? -OOCCMe3)2(?-N,N?,N?-3,5-Me 2C3HN2- C2(O)N4) 2(?-N,N?,N?,O-3,5-Me2C3HN 2C2(O)N4)2(MeCN) 2[Co(CH3CN)CI2]2 (13). The molecular structures of 4, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13 established by X-ray diffraction studies and magnetic behavior of new nickel and cobalt pivalate clusters are discussed.

Аннотация: Ores rich in native silver at the Aktepe orefield near Tashkent, Uzbekistan, are similar to the arsenide-silver ores of the Cobalt-Gowganda region, Canada. The Aktepe ores occur as shoots and lenses in narrow fissures within a middle Paleozoic gabbro massif which is surrounded by Upper Paleozoic felsic volcanics and syenite intrusions. Widespread deuteric propylitization of the massif preceded ore deposition. The ore consists mainly of native silver, which is accompanied by native arsenic and bismuth, allargentum, dyscrasite, acanthite, numerous sulfides and sulfosalts, and by a Ni-Co-Fe arsenide and sulfarsenide assemblage similar to that of Cobalt-Gowganda. The Aktepe gangue minerals are mainly calcite, ferroan dolomite, and chlorite, and the veins are bordered by a wallrock-alteration assemblage of sericite-quartz-carbonate-pyrite. A difference from Cobalt-Gowganda is that the Aktepe carbonates are iron-rich, a feature which is attributed to a genetic relationship with the iron-rich host gabbros. -Authors????

Аннотация: Dinuclear complexes of CuII with 3-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-6-(2-hydroxyethylami-no)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (1) and CoII with 3-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-6-(piperidin-1-yl)-1,2,4,5- tetrazine (2) were synthesized and structurally characterized, and the magnetic (SQUID) and resonance (EPR) properties of van der Waals crystals based on these complexes were studied. Unusual behavior of the effective magnetic moment ?eff(T) is observed at T < 60 K. A nonmonotonic increase in eff() for 1 (s~6 %) and a 20% reduction of eff for 2 have a common origin and are due to the influence of spin-orbital coupling on the character of the splitting between the t2g and eg levels of the central ion. Distortions of the coordination site “switch on” a positive (1) or negative (2) contribution of the orbital magnetic moment near 6 K. Irreversible temperature behavior of eff(T) in the heating and cooling regimes in the vicinity of 60 K suggests that the character of structural distortions and the magnetic properties are related to ligand geometry. This factor plays a significant role in crystal engineering of magnetoactive structures with polynitrogen ligands

Аннотация: Diethyl 2,2' [1,2-phenylenebis(aminomethylidene)]bis(3-oxo-3-polyfluoroalkylpropionates) were synthesized by the condensation of a double excess of ethyl 2-ethoxymethylidene- 3-oxo-3-polyfluoroalkylpropionates with o-phenylenediamine. The use of equimolar ratios of the starting reactants affords ethyl 2-[(2-aminophenyl)aminomethylidene]-3-oxo- 3-polyfluoroalkylpropionates from which nonsymmetric biscondensation products were synthesized by the reaction with related reactants containing different polyfluoroalkyl substituent. The copper(II), nickel(II), and cobalt(II) complexes were obtained on the basis of new ligands.

Аннотация: New ionic complexes [ML2(MeCN)2]•2Otf (M = Co or Ni; L = 6-ferrocenyl-2,2?-bipyridyl) were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Cyclic voltammograms of the compounds [ML2(MeCN)2]•2Otf in CH2Cl2 show good cycle stability over 100 cycles in the quasi-reversible oxidation potential range (from 0.25 to 0.5 V).????
