Аннотация: The influence of periodic perturbation on the system of two nonlinear stochastic equations, which model low-frequency pulsations in crisis and transient modes of heat-and-mass transfer with phase transitions, has been investigated by numerical methods. When studying the influence of the periodic perturbation on the system, a researcher should largely take into account the phase diagram. It is shown that nonequilibrium phase transitions from asymmetric cycles of phase trajectories to centrally symmetric ones occur in the absence of noise. These transitions are accompanied by the stochastic resonance response, which enhances as the frequency of the external periodic force decreases

Аннотация: The system of two nonlinear stochastic equations simulating 1/f fluctuations during the interaction of nonequilibrium phase transitions in the presence of an external periodic action has been studied by numerical methods. It is shown that in the system there appears stochastic resonance, which leads to an amplification of the output periodic signal under the action of noise. To a random process with a 1/f power spectrum corresponds the maximum Gibbs-Shannon informational entropy. At stochastic resonance the informational entropy is minimum. A new behavior of a two-dimensional system at stochastic resonance has been revealed: at low frequencies of a periodic action with an increased white noise intensity the system trajectories are limited by two mutually perpendicular directions - anisotropic stochastic resonance. With a further increase in the white noise intensity in the system one can observe "ordinary" stochastic resonance, when the increasing intensity of fluctuations in the vicinity of the driving frequency is smeared in the directions

Аннотация: An automatic method based on MD simulations was developed for detecting and tracing the boundaries of metastable states of superheated crystal and supercooled liquid. The main criterion of the detection of early nucleation of new phase is the self-diffusion coefficient temperature dependence. The scanning for nucleation events is performed at continuous temperature change. The set of independent nucleation events at a given pressure allows evaluation of temperature dependence of specific nucleation frequency. The collection of a large number of these calculations allows accurate approximation of pressure and temperature dependence of the specific nucleation frequency in both directions between phases. This dependence allows estimating the behavior of the free energy in the region between superheating and supercooling curves. In addition, dependence of nucleation frequency on pressure and temperature provides an opportunity to integrate the probability of nucleation under dynamic loading and subsequent release and thus to determine the likelihood of the crystallization and melting. The technique was applied to tin. MD simulation was carried out with the help of the EAM interatomic potential, well reproducing the properties of BCC phase.

The results are in qualitative agreement with theoretical estimations
