Аннотация: The structures and properties of 6-methyl-2-benzothiazolyl)-alfa-phenyl-beta-picrylhydrazyl, alfa-(2-methyl-6-benzothiazolyl)-alfa-phenyl-beta-picrylhydrazyl, and their corresponding hydrazines and complexes were studied by means of IR, UV, and visible spectroscopy and electrical conductivity. The half-wave potentials and limiting currents for reduction on a dropping mercury electrode were found for the hydrazines. The charge and spin densities of the investigated compounds were calculated by the Hiickel MO and MacLachlan methods. It is shown that in the case of strong interaction with a medium the characteristics of the trinitrophenyl groups of the picrylhydrazines are practically the same, regardless of the structure of the hydrazine residue bonded to them

Аннотация: Calculations are presented on the electronic structures and atomic interaction parameters for various cubic and hexagonal refractory phases based on d metals, which have been made with various band models (LMTO, CCR Green's functions), and cluster ones (semiempirical, XaRW, X~DW). Freatures of the energy spectra for these compounds are discussed when vacancies and impurities are present. Particular attention is given to calculations on macroscopic parameters (lattice constant, elastic constants, atomization energy, and Tmp) of particular interest in the material science of these compounds

A study was carried out on the transformation of the valence band and structure of the molecular orbitals in the Fermi level in going from YBa2Cu307 to MBasCu409. The chemical bonding was analyzed and the role of the "interchain" interaction in the bonding of the copper and oxygen atoms in different crystallographic positions was determined

Аннотация: The parameters of hyperfine interactions on 51V nuclei were determined on films of the inclusion compound H2VI2031-y.n H20 at different stages of hydration. It was established that the axial symmetry plane of the magnetic interaction tensor coincides with the film plane. The most probable direction (40 ° of the film plane) and the magnitude of the electric field gradient (EFG) on 51V nuclei (eqQ/h = 0.233 MHz) were found for a completely dehydrated sample. An analysis of the line width angular dependences of satellites has shown the existence of a disorientation of the main EFG direction with a distribution width of about 50 ° in the film plane. The absence of satellites and the presence of an angular dependence of the 51V NMR central signal of hydrated samples allowed the conclusion that the interaction of the V--O layer with molecules of water led to an increase in the disorientation of the film plane

Аннотация: In H2VI2031-y.nH20 films with different degrees of hydration, parameters of hyperfine interaction on SlY nuclei have been determined. It has been established that the of axial symmetry plane of the tensor of magnetic interactions coincides with the plane of the film. For a completely dehydrated specimen, values have been found for the most probable direction (40 ~ from the plane of the film) and magnitude of the electric field gradient (EFG) on SiV nuclei (eq-Q/h = 0.2333 MHz). Analysis of the angular dependence of the width of the satellites has shown the presence of disorientation of the principal direction of the EFG with a width of distribution about 50 ~ in the plane of the film. In view of the absence of satellites and the presence of an angular dependence of the central transition of the 51V NMR spectra of the hydrated specimens, it can be stated that the interaction of the V-O layer with water molecules leads to an increase of disorientation in the plane of the film. The change in magnetic shifts is discussed, and it is concluded that there is a nonuniform change of population of the conduction band upon dehydration

Аннотация: Методами рентгенофазового, электронно-микроскопического и микрорентгеноспектрального анализов исследованы особенности фазо- и структурообразования в сплавах TiC05N0,5-TiNi-Mo и TiC0,5Ni0,5-TiNi-Ti-Mo в присутствии жидкой фазы (Т = 1380-1600 С). В результате физико-химических процессов, развивающихся при жидкофазном спекании, образуется трехфазный сплав, состоящий из нестехиометрического карбонитрида титана TiC0,5-xN0,5-x, твердого раствора титана, никеля и углерода в молибдене Mo(Ti,Ni,C) и одного из интерметаллидов TiNi или Ni3Ti. Аннотация: Из исследований растворимости He в кристаллах SrF2 при температурах 715-1215 К получены энергии растворения He в примесных (-0,33+ or - 0.04 эВ) и "собственных" (0.66+ or - 0.04 эВ) анионных вакансиях, а также энергии взаимодействия He с ближайшим окружением катионов Sr (-0.4+ or - 0.1 эВ), указывающие на химический характер взаимодействия He-Sr(2+). С использованием кластерного метода дискретного варьирования выполнены расчеты электронного строения нескольких фрагментов кристаллической решетки SrF2 и примесных центров He в нескольких позициях. На основе развитой методики вычисления эффективных зарядов, как интегралов от электронной плотности, получена детальная картина распределения заряда в идеальных и дефектных системах SrF2:He. Найдено, что на He образуется отрицательный заряд -0.07е в междоузлии и 0.14е в анионной вакансии

Аннотация: Методами рентгенофазового, электронно-микроскопического и микрорентгеноспектрального анализов исследованы особенности фазообразования в процессе жидкофазного спекания сплавов TiC0.5N0.5-TiNi с добавками металлического титана и циркония. Взаимодействие характеризуется перераспределением неметаллических элементов, а также титана и циркония между тугоплавкой и связующей фазами с образованием нестехиометрического титано-циркониевого карбонитрида(карбонитридов) Ti1-xZrxC-0.35N-0.35 и никелида титана-циркония (Ti, Zr)Ni. Количество образующихся фаз и их состав определяются кинетическими параметрами процесса

Аннотация: It is shown that the oxidation of alumln1~m- powders and rare-earth elements as the temperature rises is accompanied by cracking of a layer of interaction products at the particle surface. The intensity of cracking is reflected in the change of the specific powder surface during heating, and it depends on the phase formation in the barrier layer and its physicochemical properties. The real oxidation rate of disperse metals is higher than the diffusion rate in oxides, which indicates the determining role of cracking in the interaction mechanism

Аннотация: Методами рентгенофазового и химического анализов исследованы особенности фазообразования в системе TiC0.5N0.5 - TiNi - Ti в присутствии жидкой фазы. Результатом физико-химических процессов, развивающихся при жидкофазном спекании сплава, является образование гомогенного карбонитрида TiC0.35+zN0.35+z (0 < или = z < или = 0,10-0,12) и одной или нескольких металлических фаз (Ti, Ti2Ni, TiN, TiNi3, возможно, Ti3Ni4). Предложены возможные варианты триангуляции системы Ti-C-N-Ni

Аннотация: Thermogravimetric, d i f f e r e n t i a l - t h e r m o g r a p h i c , chemical, and x-ray phase analysis methods are used to study the effect of the rate at which powdered lanthanum is heated in air on the nature of the reaction products. It is found that for heating rates of up to 150 K/rain the interaction with air ends in the formation of lanthan~m oxide. At heating rates of 150-600 K/rain, a nitride phase is formed along with LazO3. Further increases in the heating rate lead to formation of the oxide phase only. The reasons for this behavior of lanthanum are examined.

Аннотация: Barkhausen pulses generated in stepped motion of a single plane domain boundary ~PDB! are investigated experimentally in single-crystalline wafers of the extrinsic ferroelastic ferroelectric gadolinium molybdate containing artificial pinning centers of the ‘‘field inhomogeneity’’ type near the edges of the sample. Two scenarios of the evolution of a PDB in interaction with ‘‘defects’’ are proposed on the basis of analyzing the shape of the pulses in a linearly increasing field: small changes of the pulse shape in a weak field and the generation of wedge domains in a strong field. The proposed mechanism of PDB motion due to the generation of steps near the edge of the sample and their longitudinal motion provides a means for explaining the experimentally observed linear field dependence of the PDB velocity and for determining the velocity of the steps
