Аннотация: The present paper describes unusual reactions of lithium enolate of ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoro-3-oxobutanoate with ammonium acetate and 1-aminonaphthalene. These reactions produce 4-amino-2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyridine and 4-trifluoromethyl-2-[(Z)-1,1,1-trifluoroprop-1-en-2-ol-1-yl]benzo[h]quinoline, respectively. The reaction of 1,1,7,7,7-hexafluoroheptane-2,4,6-trione hydrate with 1-naphthylamine gives a mixture of 4-trifluoromethyl-2-[(Z)-1,1,1-trifluoroprop-1-en-2-ol-1-yl]benzo[h]quinoline and N,N′-bis(naphth-1-yl)-2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyridine-4(1H)-imine, respectively

Аннотация: A new type of intramolecular cyclization of 1,5-bis[2-(E-3-oxo-3-phenylprop-1-enyl)-phenoxy]-3-oxapentane with 3-aminotriazole promoted by potassium ions was discovered. A cascade mechanism for the formation of crownophane with 4,7-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]-pyrimidine fragment was suggested. Effects of oligooxyethylene fragment of the chalcone podand and acid-base catalysis on the selectivity of the cyclocondensation processes and degree of oxidation of triazolopyrimidine fragments were studied. Аннотация: The one-step preparation of diethyl 2-ethoxy-6-CF3-2H-pyran-3,5-dicarboxylate via the condensation of ethyl 4,4,4-trifluoroacetoacetate with CH(OEt)3 has been reported and a plausible mechanism for this transformation is discussed. To demonstrate the synthetic potential of the obtained pyran, the reactions with ammonia and aromatic amines to give trifluoromethylated pyridine derivatives are presented.

Аннотация: The facile C–C coupling reaction of activated forms of azaaromatics (azine-N-oxides) with cymantrenyl lithium, as a nucleophile, has first been carried out. It has been established that aromatization of intermediate adducts can be realized through either oxidative or eliminative pathways, depending on the structure of the starting azine N-oxide. In particular, the dihydroazinyl intermediates, bearing the additional N(4)-atom relative to the N-oxide group, proved to undergo aromatization through the eliminative pathway. The X-ray studies of 3,6-diphenyl-1,2,4-triazine-5-yl-cymantrene have revealed that it is crystallized in both orthorhombic and monoclinic forms.

Аннотация: A series of 4,5-diphenyl-7H-thieno[2′,3′:3,4]pyrido[2,1-b]quinazolin-7-ones was synthesized via the Rh(III)-catalyzed annulation of 2-thienylquinazolin-4(3H)-ones with diphenylacetylene. 2-Phenylquinazolin-4(3H)-one amide alcoholysis and double C–H functionalization proceeded under the same reaction conditions with the formation of 2,3,7,8-tetraphenyl-1H-benzo[d,e][1,8]-naphthyridine derivatives. All compounds possess fluorescence properties in MeCN and toluene solutions as well as in the solid state. The aggregation induced emission (AIE) properties and the ability to detect Fe3+ cations were evaluated.

Аннотация: Dinuclear complexes of CuII with 3-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-6-(2-hydroxyethylami-no)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (1) and CoII with 3-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)-6-(piperidin-1-yl)-1,2,4,5- tetrazine (2) were synthesized and structurally characterized, and the magnetic (SQUID) and resonance (EPR) properties of van der Waals crystals based on these complexes were studied. Unusual behavior of the effective magnetic moment ?eff(T) is observed at T < 60 K. A nonmonotonic increase in eff() for 1 (s~6 %) and a 20% reduction of eff for 2 have a common origin and are due to the influence of spin-orbital coupling on the character of the splitting between the t2g and eg levels of the central ion. Distortions of the coordination site “switch on” a positive (1) or negative (2) contribution of the orbital magnetic moment near 6 K. Irreversible temperature behavior of eff(T) in the heating and cooling regimes in the vicinity of 60 K suggests that the character of structural distortions and the magnetic properties are related to ligand geometry. This factor plays a significant role in crystal engineering of magnetoactive structures with polynitrogen ligands

Аннотация: Novel N,O-bidentate BF2 and BPh2 complexes have been prepared in good to excellent yields through coordination of 8-hydroxy-2-methylquinolines and 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-3H-quinazolin-4-ones with boron trifluoride etherate or triphenylborane under mild conditions. All complexes have been characterized by H-1, B-11 and F-19 NMR, mass-spectrometry and X-ray crystallography data. Some complexes have been found to exhibit a significant fluore.scence in acetonitrile solutions. Electronic and site effects of substituents in both heterocyclic and phenol fragments proved to have a profound impact on quantum yields.

Reactions of 4-(3-ethynyl-phenylamino)-1,1,1-trifluoro-pentyl-3-en-2-one with Cu(II) acetate or nanosized powder of copper or its oxides led to the respective chelate complex. The structure of (Z)-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoro-5-(2-propynylamino)-4-hexen-3-one and a copper complex of 4-(3-etinilphenylamino)-1,1,1-trifluoropenta-3-en-2-one was determined by XRD

Аннотация: Six novel donor–π–acceptor organic dyes bearing a pyrimidine as the anchoring group have been obtained in good yields by combination of the microwave-assisted Suzuki cross-coupling and nucleophilic aromatic substitution of hydrogen reactions. Their absorption, photoluminescence and electrochemical properties were fully investigated in detail. The infrared spectra of dyes adsorbed on TiO2 indicate the formation of coordinate bonds between the pyrimidine ring of dyes and the Lewis acid sites (exposed Tin+ cations) of the TiO2 surface. This work demonstrates that the pyrimidine rings of dye sensitizers that form a coordinate bond with the Lewis acid site of a TiO2 surface are promising candidates as the electron-withdrawing anchoring group. The data from quantum calculations show that all of the dyes are potentially good photosensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells
