Статья посвящена обзору дарственных надписей, адресованных ученым, выявленных на книгах фонда Центральной научной библиотеки Уральского отделения Российской академии наук. Значительная часть инскриптов не выходит за рамки этикетной формулы, принятой в научной среде. Книги преподносились в знак уважения или благодарности, в расчете на получение отзыва или рецензии, в надежде на продолжение сотрудничества. Отступления от шаблона характеризуют общественные и дружеские связи, свидетельствуют о знаковых событиях личной и профессиональной жизни адресата и адресанта, раскрывают их индивидуальность. Специфика фонда ЦНБ УрО РАН, включающего фрагменты многих личных книжных собраний ученых, позволяет использовать инскрипты не только в качестве источников изучения книжной культуры и научного общения, но и истории академической науки Урала и России. The article is devoted to a review of the inscriptions addressed to scientists identified on the books of the Central Scientific Library of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. A significant part of the scripts does not go beyond the etiquette formula accepted in the scientific community. Books were presented as a sign of respect or gratitude, hoping to receive a review or a review, with the hope of continuing cooperation. Deviations from the template characterize the social and friendly ties, indicate significant events in the personal and professional life of the addressee and the addressee, reveal their individuality. Specificity of the CSL UB RAS, which includes fragments of many personal book collections of scientists, allows using the manuscripts not only as sources for studying book culture and scientific communication, but, also, the history of academic science in the Urals and Russia.
