В книге излагаются результаты комплексного анализа Гаевского могильника саргатской общности, существовавшей в лесостепи Зауралья и Западной Сибири в 1 тыс. до н. э. - начале 1 тыс. н. э. Дается подробное описание материалов раскопок, анализа вещевого материала, погребальной обрядности. Особое внимание уделено публикации полевых и лабораторных антропологических (остеологических) наблюдений, позволивших определить основные виды деятельности местного населения. Приводится модель развития саргатской общности в ее индивидуальном и историческом контексте. Книга может быть интересна как специалистам: археологам, антропологам, палеозоологам, так и более широкому читателю, неравнодушному к истории исчезнувших народов. This book presents the results of excavation in the cemetery of the Sargat cultural community, existing in the forest-steppe of the Trans-Urals and western Siberia-from the mid 1st millennium BC to the mid 1st millennium AD. Several chapters deal with detailed description of grave goods and their chronology, and with funeral practice as well. Special attention is paid to the analysis of human and faunal remains, that allowed to reconstruct the basic activity of the local population The final chapter presents a model of the Sargat community evolution and its close connection with nomadic world. This book can be interesting both to specialists and to amateurs of history. Most of illustrations and tables are supplied by English text. An English summary is concluding the book.
