This study has demonstrated that the sensitivity of traditional isotope methods as applied to nanocrystalline oxides is considerably Improved, and fundamentally new opportunities are provided for analysis of processes on the "gas phase - solid state" interface and investigations of the bulk and the grain-boundary diffusion in polycrystals.
