The article gives a review of current issues on acute hepatitis and chronic diffusive liver diseases (CDLD) in childhood. In the structure of viral hepatitis among children of the first life year, there prevail Hepatitis C (41,5 %) and B (36,6 %); markers of cytomegalovirus infection can be detected. Children, infected prenatal or during first life year, undergo the higer risk of chronic hepatitis development. In the structure of CDLD the percentage of viral hepatitis comes to 54,8 %. During the last decade there has been uptrend towards increase of cases of liver cirrhosis with unit weight coming up to17 %, and to 19 % in the event of inherent hepatitis. According to the results of morfobiopsy, in cases of neonatal hepatitis with cholestasis syndrome, gigant cell hepatitis can be detected in the percentage of 52,4 %; the etiology often remains unknown. CDLD can be the taken as onset of hereditary diseases, the percentage of which comes up to 27,4 %, and refractory increase of transaminase level is typical to prevdohypertrophic muscular dystrophy and Duchenne’s dystrophy. In the present state hepatitis diagnostics is possible under integrated patient examination.
